Meet Kelly - one of the key figures in the Forget Me Not Animal Rescue, a small group of volunteers helping abandoned cats in St John's, NL. She has personally opened her home to so many cats over the years while working hard to find the perfect forever homes for them. She makes sure that the animals are well taken care of by their new families, checking up on them and even taking them back if they decide the cats are too much responsibility. They prevent proliferation of feral cats by operating as a TNR rescue, whereby they trap feral male cats, have them neutered and release them back into the wild. This is a very humane way to keep the number of feral cats at bay but it involves running up a hefty vet bill. As a non-profit organization, they rely on the monetary support of the community to assist each animal rescued and thus have to plan fundraisers for every rescue.

Kelly was nominated by her client and friend, Nicole who has adopted three feline fur babies from them over the past few years, which has had an impact on her overall well being and mental health in so many ways. We were excited to donate $1000 to Kelly and the Forget Me Not team to help with vet bills, food and supplies for the animals currently in their care.
