As a plus-size Middle Eastern muslim, Sera felt there was a caveat to being accepted within conventional beauty. Today, she hopes to inspire young girls to define their meaning of confidence.

ADA

Ada, a first-generation Chinese immigrant, developed vitiligo caused by stress. She used to cover it up in fear of judgement, but now, she proudly calls her skin a map of her hard work.

ELORM

Elorm rarely saw herself in print and ads as a curvy, Black woman. Today, she chooses to ignore society's ideal body standards and prioritizes appreciating her body on her self-love journey.

LAUREN

In grade 4, Lauren felt she couldn't fully express herself in a fluid way. When she transitioned, she finally started living life in color. Today, Lauren advocates for safety and visibility for trans folks.

BETH

At a young age, Beth was introduced to her Indigenous heritage, where it was the first community that celebrated for being different. Today, Beth is proud to be a queer, plus-size Metis drag artist.

CAROL

Carol's passion is rooted in fitness, but when she was teenager, an eating disorder developed from the pressures of how she looked. She has since overcome that and now practices fitness from a healthy approach.

NAFISA

Nafisa grew up as a Somalian-Canadian who struggled not being able to wear tank tops or showing her hair. She now strives to share that hair doesn't define your beauty but what you bring to the world.

JESSICA

At 15 years old, Jess experienced a fall from a ladder that injured her spinal cord. Since then, Jess has become as a baker and rugby player, proving that her injury cannot stop her from thriving.
